OBIT JESSEE, HAZEL BUNDY

JESSEE, Hazel Bundy, 91, of Lebanon, died Saturday, February 27, 1993, in the Russell County Medical Center. She was a lifelong resident of Russell County. She was a member of the Green Valley Baptist Church where she was a longtime member of the Women's Missionary Union. She was a charter member of the Lebanon Home Demonstration Club. She was the widow of Beecher B. Jessee and the last surviving member of the John A. Bundy family of the Belfast section of Russell County. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Jean J. Gilmer and Mrs. Franklin (Peggy) Gilmer, both of Abingdon, Va.; three sons, Warren B. Jessee, Bill L. Jessee, and Beecher Burke Jessee Jr., all of Lebanon, Va.; also 17 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. Russell County Funeral Home is in charge. Funeral services for Mrs. Hazel Bundy Jessee will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday in the Russell County Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Lester Ferguson officiating. Burial will follow in Russell Memorial Cemetery. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Memorial Hymnals Fund of the Green Valley Baptist Church, Rt. 1, Box 31, Lebanon, Va. 24266. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday.
