NAMES & CHANGES
ROBERT P. BURTON, senior vice president, has been appointed manager of Western Region Credit Administration at Crestar Bank. He joined Crestar in 1987 as vice president and commercial account manager. He was promoted to manager of the Roanoke Middle Market business unit in 1987 and most recently worked as senior credit administrator for Western Region Credit Administration.Burton received his bachelor's and master of business administration degrees from Virginia Tech.

\ GEORGE W. COLEMAN JR., senior vice president, has been named senior regional credit administrator for Western Region Credit Administration. An employee since 1973, he most recently was special assets division manager for administration. A graduate of Virginia Tech, he also attended the Virginia Bankers Association's School of Bank Management and Consumer Bankers Association's School of Retail Bank Management.
\ KENNETH H. SIGMON, vice president, has been named manager of the special assets division for Western Region Credit Administration. He joined the bank in 1981 and was previously special loans administrator. He has a bachelor of science degree in business administration from Virginia Tech.
\ GEORGE A. BARROWS has been named vice president and regional credit administrator for Western Region Credit Administration. Prior to joining Crestar, he was vice president and a commercial loan and business development officer for Dominion Bank.
\ JAMES RANDALL WOODSON, vice president, has been appointed commercial account manager with the Roanoke Commercial Division. A Crestar employee since 1984, he returned to the bank's Western Region from Norfolk where he worked as a commercial account manager.
\ A. CRENSHAW REED II has joined the Roanoke Commercial division as vice president and commercial accounts manager. A graduate of Virginia Tech, he was previously a vice president at Dominion Bank.
\ TIMOTHY B. BERRY has joined Crestar as senior vice president and manager of the Roanoke Middle Market Group. He will work with the Western Region Upper Market. He formerly was manager of Corporate Banking Services for Dominion Bank. He is a graduate of Emory & Henry College, the Virginia School of Bank Management and National Commercial Lending School.
COLLEGES & UNIVERSITIES
\ PAM THOMPSON has been named an administrative assistant at National Business College. She will assist Annie Counts, the Roanoke Valley campus director and will oversee college correspondence, faculty materials, supplies and clerical support. She previously worked at L&L Marketing and Quantum Medical Systems.

Hurt & Proffitt in Lynchburg has named three new staff members.
\ KENNETH H. CARLTON has joined the Site Engineering Division as project manager. He has degrees in civil engineering from Virginia Tech and business administration from Virginia Commonwealth University.
\ CAROLINE F. HOWARD has been named a project engineer in the engineering division. She has a civil engineering degree from the University of Virginia.
\ R. RANDOLPH CUNNINGHAM JR. will also work in the site engineering division. He has a civil engineering degree from Virginia Tech.
GOVERNMENT
\ LEWIS W. PEERY has been appointed to the State Extension Advisory Committee by Dr. William A. Allen, interim director of the Virginia Cooperative Extension. He was formerly chairman of the Roanoke City Extension office Advisory Committee.
MEDICINE
Lewis-Gale Clinic, Inc. has recently elected officers to their board of directors.
\ BERTRAM SPETZLER, M.D., an orthopaedic surgeon, was re-elected president of the board. NELSON B. GREENE, M.D., a pulmonologist and critical care physician, was elected vice president. DARRELL D. WHITT was named secretary-treasurer and LYNDELL B. BROOKS, assistant secretary-treasurer. Named to serve a 3-year term on the clinic board were LUCIAN Y. GROVE, M.D., an internal medicine physician; A. REIS KESSLER, M.D., general surgeon; and S. CURTISS MULL, M.D., an orthopaedic surgeon.
\ PEGGY MENTEL has been appointed hospice coordinator at Housecall Hospice. She is a graduate of the Roanoke Memorial Hospital School of Professional Nursing with over 20 years experience in critical care nursing.
\ DR. JAMES F. HOLMAN has relocated his practice of infertility and reproductive endocrinology to Community Hospital's new Carilion Center for Women and Children. He will become a member of the medical education faculty and will be the director of infertility and reproductive endocrinology. His office will be in the Jefferson Plaza building adjacent to the Community Hospital campus. He was previously at Lewis-Gale Clinic.
\ JANICE DUNNING WILLINGER has been named director of the Regional Perinatal Coordinating Council for Region III. The region includes the counties of Amherst, Appomattox, Bedford, Campbell, Charlotte, Halifax, Pittsylvania and Prince Edward and the cities of Lynchburg, Bedford, Danville and South Boston. Willinger previously worked as director of marketing for Sentara Leigh Hospital in Norfolk.

\ STEVE FLOWERS, Piedmont regional manager, has been promoted to region vice president for Imaging Systems Division of Lanier Worldwide, Inc. He will oversee copying, document and presentation systems in the Piedmont area, including Norfolk, Richmond and Roanoke. An employee for 20 years, he has worked as sales manager, product manager and district manager.
TELEVISION
\ CINDY SMITH SEE has joined the staff of WSET-TV as a marketing specialist. A graduate of Columbia College, she has returned to Lynchburg from Charlotte, N.C., where she worked as a marketing consultant for WWMG and WXRC.
