OBIT GOFF, AUBREY MAURICE

GOFF, Aubrey Maurice, 77, of Roanoke, passed away Tuesday, March 30, 1993, in a local hospital. He was a retired Master Sergeant with the U.S. Army and a retired Civil Service employee having served at White Sand Missile Range in New Mexico. He was a charter member of the Sojourners Masonic Lodge in Panama City, Panama. He was a member of the Bonsack Baptist Church, where he served as teacher of the Julian Landers class, also served as an usher and a member of the Senior Adults Golden Tones choir. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Marvin Rose Goff; a son, Jeffrey Alan Goff; and a granddaughter, Jennifer Goff. Surviving are his beloved wife, Irene Bell Goff; daughter and son-in-law, Gay Lynne and Bill Kinney of Petersburg; son and daughter-in-law, Gregory and Connie Goff of Milton, Fla.; four grandchildren, Theresa and Matthew Kinney, Stephanie and Jonathan Goff; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Houston and Helen Goff of Covington, Joe and Ruth Goff of Bristol, Tenn.; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Gladys and Marvin Gaylor of Newport News, Mildred and Harry Rose of Roanoke; two stepdaughters and sons-in-law, June and B.J. Cormier of Groves, Texas, Patricia and Hank Pfister of Bent Mountain; seven stepgrandchildren; ten stepgreat-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at Oakey's North Chapel, 11:30 a.m. Friday, with Dr. Robert G. Moore III officiating. Interment will be in the Alleghany Memorial Park, 1:30 p.m. Friday. Flowers are acceptable, but memorials may be made to the Bonsack Baptist Church Sanctuary Fund. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Oakey's North Chapel.
