DEVELOPMENT GROUP NAMES PAIR TO BOARD

Ben Crawford and Bob Thomas have been named to the executive committee of Southwest Development Financing Inc., a $1 million corporation set up by Rep. Rick Boucher, D-Abingdon, to finance tourism development projects in Southwest Virginia.

The executive committee will be the governing board for the financing corporation.

Crawford is a volunteer development specialist with the Institute for Leadership and Volunteer Development at Virginia Tech. He was elected secretary of the executive committee.

Thomas is president of B&B Media of Radford.

Both are members of New River Valley HOSTS, a regional tourism organization.
