BUCCANEERS LOSE EXHIBITION GAME TO FREDERICK
The Frederick (Md.) Orioles beat the Salem Buccaneers 5-2 in an exhibition minor-league baseball game Friday in Sarasota, Fla.Salem got its runs in the third inning. Rick Juday drove in one run with a sacrifice fly and Angelo Encarnacion got the other RBI on a single and finished 2-for-4. Ken Bonifay had two doubles.
Matt Ruebel pitched four innings, gave up six hits and four earned runs. Kevin Rychel pitched three innings of no-hit ball and Jason Christiansen pitched the final two innings.
The Little Caesars 300 scheduled for tonight at Franklin County Speedway has been postponed because of cold weather. The 200-lap late model stock race is rescheduled for next Saturday at 7 p.m. A practice session will be held today from 1-5 p.m.
