OBIT GUSLER, JOHN HOWARD
GUSLER, John Howard, 81, of Vinton, died Wednesday, March 31, 1993, at the
VA Medical Center, Salem. He was a member of Red Hill Baptist Church, a World
War II Navy veteran and retired from Valley Cadillac-Oldsmobile Inc. He was
predeceased by his wife, Mary Huffman Gusler and a son, Bobby Wayne Gusler. He
is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Pearl E. St.Clair and W. Arthur
St.Clair of Vinton, Shirley E. and Frank T. Tirico of Roanoke; a devoted
granddaughter and husband, Debbie and Earl Bastian of Roanoke; grandson and
wife, Randy A. Mills Jr. and wife, Cindy, Fayetteville, N.C.; also five
great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild; a very special friend,
Margaret Lawhorn of Vinton; also surviving are his brothers, Marvin Gusler,
Woodrow Gusler, both of Roanoke, Lewis Gusler of Cloverdale, Arthur Gusler of
Fincastle and Bill Gusler of Baltimore, Md.; one sister, Mary Bell Johnson of
Fincastle; many beloved nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted
from the Lotz Vinton Chapel 10 a.m. Saturday, April 3, 1993, with the Rev.
Chip Corbin and the Rev. Bobby Harris officiating. Interment will be in Cedar
Lawn Memorial Park. Friends may call at Lotz Vinton Chapel.
