OBIT WHITE, SHIRLEY PEMBERTON

WHITE, Shirley Pemberton, 57, of Roanoke, died Friday April 2, 1993, in a Salem hospital. She was a retired clerk with the Salem Post Office. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard A. White. Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Diane E. and Walter Lauzon, Roanoke, Donna B. and David Sturgill, Salem; a son, Jeffrey A. White, Roanoke; a sister, Dolly Kirk, Providence, R.I.; two granddaughters, Jodi L. Widener, and Beth M. Widener; a grandson, Scott C. Sturgill. Funeral services will be held Monday, April 5, at noon at the Lotz Salem Chapel, with the Rev. Curtis Gray officiating. Interment will be in Sherwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. on Saturday, and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Sunday at the Lotz Salem Chapel.
