FOSS-SHUMATE

Rebecca Jane Foss and Eddie Dean Shumate, Jr., are planning to be married May 22, 1993. She is a daughter of Honora A. Thompson and the late Donald B. Foss. She is a granddaughter of the late Jane E. Hay, of Portland, Maine, and Myra L. Foss, of Titusville, Fla. She attended Christiansburg High School. He is a son of Eddie Dean Shumate, Sr., and Debbie Jean Shumate. He is a grandson of Matilda Shumate and the late Sam Shumate and John and Maxine Self, all of Christiansburg. He graduated from Christiansburg High School and is employed by TriAngle Lanes.
