Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Winfred Meeks of Sewanee, Tennessee, announce the engagement of their daughter, Lori Denise, to Arthur High Garst, III, son of Dr. and Mrs. Arthur High Garst, Jr. of Roanoke, Virginia.The wedding will take place June 12 at All Saints' Chapel in Sewanee.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Ray and Dema Dinwiddie of Scottsville, Kentucky, and the late Rennie and Hattie Meeks of Tracy City, Tennessee.
Lori graduated from St. Andrew's-Sewanee School in Sewanee, Tennessee, and received a bachelor of arts degree from Guilford College. She is currently the Registrar for the Biltmore House in Asheville, North Carolina.
The future bridegroom is the grandson of the Rev. Roscoe Hauser of Fayetteville, North Carolina, and the late Doris Hauser and the late Arthur and Elva Garst of Boones Mill, Virginia.
Art graduated from North Cross School in Roanoke and received a bachelor of science degree from Guilford College. He is employed by Tanbark Landscape Company in Asheville, North Carolina.
