Susan Ilene Armstrong and John Forrest Tucker were married on Saturday,
January 30, 1993, at Palma Ceia United Methodist Church in Tampa, Florida. The
ceremony was performed by Dr. Robert R. Barber, of Tampa. Following the
wedding, a reception was held at The Centre Club. The matron of honor was
Lebra K. Johnson, of Tampa, Florida. The bridesmaids were Mrs. Christie Gant,
Mrs. Patricia Elordi, and Mrs. Christy Erickson, all of Tampa, Florida. The
junior bridesmaid was Miss Ilene Armstrong. The flowergirl was Miss Stacie
Armstrong. The best man was Mr. John R. Tucker, Jr., father of the groom. The
ushers were Mr. Andrew Hurst, of Roanoke, Mr. Richard Pattisall, Jr., of New
York, New York, and Mr. Gregory Elordi, of Tampa, Florida. The ringbearer was
Master Matthew Armstrong. The bride was escorted by her brother, Mr. Adrian
Gant, Jr. The soloist was Miss Joli Hurst, of Roanoke. The guestbook was
attended by Master William Pattisall, of Roanoke. The bride is the daughter of
Mrs. Dorothy I. Gant and the late Adrian Gant, of Tampa. She is a graduate of
Leto High School in Tampa, Florida. She is employed by Chrysler Credit
Corporation. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John R. Tucker, Jr., of
Brandon, Florida. He is a graduate of Virginia Tech and is employed by
Chrysler Credit Corporation. The newlyweds will live in Tampa, Florida, after
the wedding trip to Copper Mountain, Colorado.
