VIRGINIA OUTLASTS MARYLAND 11-10
Sean Miller scored his third goal of the game with four seconds left in overtime as Virginia defeated Maryland 11-10 in Atlantic Coast Conference men's lacrosse at Klockner Stadium in Charlottesville.Virginia (5-2 overall, 3-0 ACC) led 10-4 in the third quarter after scoring three goals in 43 seconds.
The Terrapins rallied with six straight goals, tying the score with an unassisted goal by Sean Crawford with 1:27 left.
Limestone's Will Doyle scored five goals and had two assists and Peter Hauhauth added four goals and four assists as the Saints defeated Radford 14-11 at Dedmon Center Field in Radford.
Roy Suchocki scored 36 seconds into the fourth quarter off a pass from Hauhauth to break a 9-9 tie and put the Saints (6-1) ahead for good. The teammates connected again two minutes later as Hauhauth scored off a Suchocki assist to make the score 11-9.
The Highlanders rallied to cut the lead to one with 11:03 left when Kevin Lafferty scored on Chris White's fifth assist of the game. But Radford (2-5) got no closer and suffered its third loss in four games.
