OBIT DAVIS, GOLDIE BLANKENSHIP

DAVIS, Goldie Blankenship, 87, of Pembroke, died Saturday, April 3, 1993, in Giles Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Davis was born in Giles County on December 20, 1905, a daughter of the late Walter S. and Etta Cooper Blankenship, and was the widow of Perry Ervin Davis. She is survived by one son, Basil Davis, Pembroke; three grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and three stepgrandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 6, 1993, in the Givens Funeral Chapel, Pearisburg, with the Rev. Eddie Kendall officiating. Burial will follow in Rich Creek Cemetery, Rich Creek, Va. Friends may call at the Givens Funeral Home from 4 to 9 Monday evening.
