OBIT DALTON, MINNIE ETTA LEWIS

DALTON, Minnie Etta Lewis, 97, of Hillsville, passed away Sunday, April 4, 1993 at her home. She was born April 23, 1895, in Carroll County, Va. to John Lewis Dalton and Deeley Clifton Dalton. She is survived by two daughters, Mamie Banks, Hillsville, and Myrtle Gardner, Detroit, Mich.; one daughter-in-law, Gladys Dalton, Galax; grandchildren, Frieda Lou Alderman, Russell Gardner, Clayton Banks, Nancy Beeson, Fran Hollingsworth; fourteen great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 6, 1993, at the Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel, Hillsville, with the Elder Carbin Vass officiating. Burial in the C. C. Webb Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
