HOSTS TO PROPOSE MARKETING PLAN
New River Valley HOSTS will present a proposed marketing plan for the region at 10 a.m. May 6 at the Best Western Radford Inn.
The proposal was put together by Kimberly Badenolli, Reuben Charles II, Fang-Chi Lee and Gyril Horn, graduate students enrolled in Ken McCleary's hospitality marketing strategy and policy class at Virginia Tech, after they made an extensive study of the valley.
The meeting is public. Parts of the proposal will be considered by HOSTS as part of completing the state tourism accreditation program.
One of the requirements of that accreditation program is putting together photos and slides to help promote the region. HOSTS would like to borrow negatives, photos or slides for duplication if they cannot be donated to create one or more slide shows.
