MOBILE HOME BURNS, BUT NO ONE INJURED

A small child woke up the occupants of mobile home early Monday as fire blazed through the trailer. The child's mother was able to get her four children and three other adults out before anyone was seriously hurt.

M.L. "Pug" Wells, chief of the Elliston Volunteer Fire Department, said the home and its contents were a total loss.

The call came at 5:29 a.m. When firefighters arrived at 448 Poplar Hollow about 10 minutes later, flames were burning through of the roof.

Fire officials had not determined the cause.
