PIPELINE INJUNCTION REFUSED
A judge ruled Monday that a repaired pipeline that dumped more than 350,000 gallons of diesel fuel into the environment can continue operating."I find that the public does not face any irreparable harm by allowing this pipeline to continue operating," said U.S. District Judge Claude Hilton.
Hilton said suspending service probably would do more harm to the line's owner, Colonial Pipeline Co., because the facility is a major transportation trunk between the the Texas oil fields and the Northeast.
The line ruptured March 28, spewing diesel fuel into the ground and into Sugarland Run - a tributary of the Potomac River. - Associated Press
