OBIT WHITE, ROBERT B. JR.
WHITE, Robert B. Jr., 67, of Roanoke, died Monday, April 5, 1993, in a
local hospital. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II, serving in the
China Burma India Theatre of war. He was retired from Windshield Glass
Distributors, and was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church. He is survived
by his wife, Mary E. White, Roanoke; a son and daughter-in-law, Stephen L. and
Sheila B. White, Newport News; a daughter and son-in-law, Gail W. and Gary A.
Nugent, Richmond; and three grandchildren, Ashley A. White of Newport News,
Shaun M. and Lauren A. Nugent, both of Richmond. Graveside services will be
held in Evergreen Burial Park 2 p.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Thomas P. O'Dell
officiating. Flowers will be accepted, or memorials may be made to the
Shepherds Staff, C/O St. John's Episcopal Church, Jefferson and Elm Avenues
S.W., Roanoke, Va. 24002; or to the Muscular Dystrophy Association, 4502
Starkey Road, Suite 206, Roanoke, Va. 24014. Friends may call from 7 to 8:30
p.m. Tuesday at Oakey's South Chapel.
