OBIT BROWN, HAROLD DAVIS

BROWN, Harold Davis, 86, of Goodview, passed away Friday, April 2, 1993 at Bedford County Memorial Hospital. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Mae Bonds Brown. Those left to cherish his memory are, six children, David Brown, Roanoke Rapids, N.C., Betty Craighead of the home, who cared for her father for many years, Lizzie Brown, Kansas City, Mo., Gatha Morgan, Irvington, N.J., Matthew Brown, Roanoke, Jerry Brown, Wichita Falls, Texas; one sister, Ruby Coley, Patterson, N.J.; one brother, William H. Brown, Victoria, Va.; two sons-in-law, James Craighead of the home, and Thomas Morgan, Irvington, N.J.; one brother-in-law, Elison Bonds of the home; two sisters-in-law, Lucille Brown, Goodview, Ann Brown, Victoria, Va.; 23 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren. Two devoted grandchildren also cared for their grandfather during his illness, Violet Brown, Roanoke, and Alan Bagby, Goodview; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, 1 p.m., Greenspring Baptist Church, Goodview. The Rev. Ray Arrington officiating with burial in the Bonds Family Cemetery, Goodview. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7 to 8 p.m. at Hamlar-Curtis Funeral Home, Roanoke.
