OBIT CAMDEN, ELSIE ROBERTS
CAMDEN, Elsie Roberts, 91, of Ferrum, died Sunday, April 4, 1993, in Lewis Gale Hospital. She was born in Amherst on July 10, 1902, the daughter of the late Nicholas Roberts and Mary Roberts. She was preceded in death by her husband, Aubrey Davis "Dave" Camden. She is survived by four daughters, Virginia R. Wells, Glasgow, Betty M. Tomlin, Buena Vista, Ollie R. Smith, Natural Bridge and Lula R. Deel, Salem; four sons, Melvin Lee Camden, Sr., Ferrum, James Aubrey Camden, Roanoke, Mitchell Camden, Salem, John Camden, Lexington; 20 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and on great-great-grandchild. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 8, 1993 at Lomax Funeral Home Chapel by Dr. Chip Pendleton. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Lomax Funeral Home.
