OBIT GRAHAM, EDNA THOMPSON
GRAHAM, Edna Thompson, 91, of S. Franklin Street, Christiansburg, died
Sunday, April 4, 1993 at Radford Community Hospital. She was born February 5,
1902, the daughter of the late Rufus Wilburn and Pearl S. Thompson. She was
the widow of Joseph Thurman Graham. She taught school for a number of years in
Floyd County and was a member of the Christiansburg Church of Christ.
Surviving are one daughter and son-in-law, Jean G. and Jack Rhudy, Southport,
N.C.; one son and daughter-in-law, Richard C. and Marilyn Graham, Southport,
N.C. and El Salvador; seven grandsons; nine great-grandchildren; a
granddaughter-in-law, Elsa Graham, who was her constant companion; one
brother-in-law, Houston Lester, Roanoke; one sister-in-law, Lala Thompson,
Christiansburg. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 7, from the
Christiansburg Church of Christ conducted by Mr. C.E. Mannon and Mr. Tom Hodge
with burial in Sunset Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests
memorials be made to the Christiansburg Church of Christ. The family will
receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Richardson-Horne Funeral Home.
