GLAD TO GET FACTS FROM THOMAS
RECENTLY I met a pleasant and kind gentleman who writes a column for the Roanoke Times & World-News each week. His name is Cal Thomas. The meeting was my pleasure, for I have never met a more common, gentle human than he. It meant so much to me because he, too, is a Christian man like myself.Thomas was the guest speaker at the Crisis Pregnancy Center Banquet in Blacksburg. As he was speaking, I thought how fortunate this newspaper is to have him for a columnist and how much more I'll respect reading his column.
I look forward to reading the editorial page every day, and thank you for carrying some of my personal comments. However, I'm more pleased to see you publishing Thomas' column, for I now know I'm getting the facts from a Christian man who knows there is only one God - our Lord and God Jesus Christ.
