JEANNE JOHNSON DUDZIAK was appointed senior writer for the university's office of public information and relations. She came to Radford from Baltimore, where she was a free-lance journalist.\ DEBORAH J. COMBS, daughter of Wesley Combs of Elliston, graduated from Radford University at the end of the fall 1992 semester. She received a bachelor of science degree in history.
\ MICHAEL RAY EPPERLY, son of Ray Epperly of Shawsville, was named to the Dean's List for the fall 1992 semester. Epperly is a senior criminal justice major. To be named to the list, a student must take at least 15 credit hours, have at least a 3.4 grade point average and earn no grade below a C.
\ MICHAEL CRONIN, director of the oral communications program, and RICK OLSEN, JR., instructor and multimedia specialist, presented a paper titled "Interactive Video Instruction in Listening: An Innovative Educational Option in Public, University, Industrial, and Management Training" at the 11th Annual Conference on Interactive Instruction Delivery in Orlando, Fla.
\ KAREN M. KASTNING, geology instructor, has been reappointed to a three-year term on the Virginia Cave Board, an affiliate of the Virginia Department of Natural Resources.
\ ROBERT WHISONANT, chairman of the geology department, and VALERIE BERCH, professor in the department, participated in an Environmental Day program at the Radford Army Ammunition Plant.
\ MARK CAMPHOUSE, associate professor of music, was guest conductor of Boise State University Symphonic Winds and All-Star High School Honor Band. He also was guest conductor at the University of South Florida's 18th annual "Festival of Winds."
\ ROSALYN LESTER, fashion department chairman, has been appointed editor of The Costume Society of America newsletter. Department secretary VICKY GOAD will be assistant editor.
\ ANNA FARIELLO, director of galleries, has artwork in three exhibitions, the College Art Association meeting in Seattle, Washington, an exhibit at Sweet Briar College, Amherst, and the Artemis show in Roanoke.
\ JERRY KOPF, associate professor of management and director of the Small Business Institute, said the institute has received a $3,000 grant from the Small Business Administration.
\ LEAH PAYNE of Blacksburg is the new coordinator of Greek affairs at the university.
She has been Greek life graduate assistant with the office of Student Organizations at Virginia Tech.
