APRIL IN APPALACHIA EVENTS UNDER WAY
Virginia Tech's celebration of April in Appalachia continues with events sponsored by Appalachian Way, a student organization, and the Appalachian Studies Program.Following is a schedule of events for the rest of the month.
\ Today: Bill Brown reading his poetry, Perspective Gallery, Squires Student Center, 7:30 p.m., free.
\ Thursday: Appalachian Square Dance with music by the Bow Shakers, Dominion Ballroom, Squires Student Center, 8-11 p.m., free.
\ April 15: Appalachian story-teller Jim Costa, Baptist Student Center, 7:30 p.m., free.
\ April 22: Square Dance Benefit for Solitude with music by the Bow Shakers, Wesley Foundation, 8-11 p.m, $4 donation.
\ Each Monday: Virginia Tech Bluegrass Association Jam Session, Gillie's, College Avenue, 8-10 p.m., free.
\ Each Tuesday: Old Time Fiddler's Jam Session, Roni's, 108 N. Main St., 9 p.m.-midnight, free.
\ Each Saturday: Tours of Solitude given by Chi Delta Alpha, 11 a.m. and noon, free.
