HEALTH DEPARTMENT ADDS MEDICATION
The Virginia Department of Health has added oral acyclovir to its free HIV/AIDS medication program.Acyclovir reduces initial pain, speeds healing and reduces the risk of recurring outbreaks of herpes simplex infection.
The program offers medications to Virginians who meet medical and financial eligibility requirements and have no insurance coverage to receive medications.
