3 TV SHOWS TO FEATURE RICHMOND POLICE OFFICERS
The Richmond Police Department will be featured in three television programs in coming months, officials said.CBS' "48 Hours," Fox Television's "Cops" and a new British television program, "Invisible Evidence," all plan to air television segments on the department.
"48 Hours" came to town recently to film a segment on the federal Weed and Seed program, a crime-prevention effort targeting two of the city's most violent neighborhoods.
A producer from "Cops" spent time with patrol officers Sunday to get a feel for crime in the city. A filming crew is expected to arrive in August, department officials said.
The department's forensic science activities caught the attention of "Invisible Evidence."
