RADFORD NIPS ETSU IN BASEBALL

Duane Filchner's bloop single brought in Tom Curran with the winning run in the eighth inning as Radford defeated East Tennessee State 10-9 in college baseball at Dedmon Center Park in Radford on Wednesday.

Curran, who homered in the fourth inning, doubled to get on base. First baseman Denny Van Pelt had a three-run homer in the first inning and a two-run shot in the third for Radford (12-9). The Buccaneers are 12-10.
