BOXING-BOWE TRAINING AT VIRGINIA RESORT
Heavyweight champion Riddick Bowe will train at The Homestead resort in Hot Springs for his 12-round title battle May 12 against Jesse Ferguson at RFK Stadium in Washington. Bowe's workouts are open to the public from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. every day except Wednesday and Sunday. Sparring will begin April 12. Ferguson earned his title shot by scoring an upset victory Feb. 6 against Olympic gold medalist Ray Mercer.
