OBIT SIMPKINS, STANFORD CHAMBERS
SIMPKINS, Stanford Chambers, 81, of Indian Valley, passed away Tuesday,
April 6, 1993, at Radford Community Hospital. Survivors include his wife,
Treva Phillips Simpkins, Indian Valley; two sons and daughters-in-law, Maurice
and Christine Simpkins, Alum Ridge, Rollie and Ruby Simpkins, Willis; four
daughters and sons-in-law, Maxine and Melvin Hollandsworth, Irene and Kirby
Duncan, Betty and David Duncan, Diane and Gene Bishop, all of Willis; two
sisters, Alma Quesenberry, Jocie Hollandsworth, both of Floyd; 15
grandchildren; three great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 1 p.m.
Friday at the Maberry Funeral Home Chapel, Floyd, with C.E. Mannon
officiating. Burial will be in the Turpin-Simpkins, Phillips Cemetery. The
family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Maberry Funeral
Home.
