OBIT FITZGERALD, DORA BARTLEY
FITZGERALD, Dora Bartley, 77, of Glasgow, died Tuesday, April 6, 1993, in
the Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Fitzgerald was born in Augusta County on
May 27, 1915, a daughter of the late J.W.R. Sensabaugh and Bertha Ludwig
Sensabaugh. She was a member of the Glasgow Baptist Church and was preceded in
death by her husbands, Russell Dean Bartley and Leonard Fitzgerald. She is
survived by three daughters, Mrs. Joe (Beulah) Snyder, Staunton, Mrs. Bill
(Phyllis) Keith, Glasgow, Mrs. Emory (Mayda) Higgins, Lexington; a son,
Michael Dean Bartley, Natural Bridge; two stepsons, James Fitzgerald, Md.,
Vernie Fitzgerald, Seattle, Wash., a brother, Charlie Sensabaugh, Spottswood;
four sisters, Rev. Mattie Sensabaugh, Fishersville, Mildred Davis, Rockbridge
Baths, Lilly Heslep, Fairfield, Agnes Benson, Waynesboro; seven grandchildren,
and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, April
9, 1993, at 3 p.m. at the Glasgow Baptist Church with Rev. William Thomas
officiating with burial to follow in the Glasgow Cemetery. The family suggests
memorials be made to the Glasgow First Aid Crew or the Glasgow Baptist Church.
The family will receive friends Thursday night from 7 to 8 p.m. at the
Harrison Funeral Home, Lexington.
