OBIT-LIPPMANN, ALBERT K.

LIPPMANN, Albert K., 82, of Roanoke, died Wednesday, April 7, 1993 as a result of injuries sustained from an automobile accident while visiting in Boca Raton, Fla. Mr. Lippmann was the widower of Mimi G. Lippmann. They had been married for 38 years. He was also the widower of Charlotte S. Lippmann, to whom he had been married for 16 years. He was founder of "Roanoke Valley Together" and was dedicated to bringing people of various religious backgrounds closer together. He was former president of the Roanoke Jewish Community Council, former treasurer of Southwest Virginia Opera Society, a former employee of Kenrose Manufacturing Company, and had a local accounting firm. Surviving are one sister, Harriet Kramer, Kensington, Md.; four stepchildren and spouses, Phyllis and Cy Marchand, Rhoda and Steven Steinberg, Laura and James Sugarman, Susan and Daniel Stern; 10 stepgrandchildren. A memorial service will be conducted at Temple Emanuel (corner Persinger and Brambleton Ave.) 3 p.m. Sunday, April 11 by Rabbi Frank W. Muller. Interment will be in Temple Emanuel Cemetery. Arrangements by Oakey's Roanoke Chapel.
