OBIT-INGRAM, MELVA HARTMAN

INGRAM, Melva Hartman, 73, of Boones Mill, died Wednesday, April 7 ,1993, at her home. She was born November 7, 1919, a daugher of the late Simon Peter Hartman and Frances L. Hartman. Surviving are her husband, H. Brown Ingram, Boones Mill; seven daughters and sons-in-law, Joyce Ingram and Curtis (Trix) Hodges, Rocky Mount, Carol and John Moore, Rocky Mount, Betty and Earl Young, Wirtz, Barbara and Ronnie Hodges, Rocky Mount, Rhonda and Steve Young, Wirtz, Donna and Don Perdue, Wirtz, Rebecca and Daniel Boone, Durham, N.C.; six sons and daughters-in-law, Eugene and Peggy Wright, Hardy, Wayne and Marian Ingram, Boones Mill, Edward and Joyce Ingram, Penhook, Gordon and Tina Ingram, Boones Mill, Derryel and Maxie Ingram, Winston-Salem, N.C., H. B. and Sherry Ingram, Rocky Mount; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Silas and Margaret Hartman, Roanoke, Gordon and Mattie Hartman, Boones Mill, and Jesse and Esther Hartman, Roanoke; two sisters, Margie Byrd, Delia Boitnott, both of Roanoke; two stepdaughters and sons-in-law, Vivian and Ivan McGhee and Helen and Ford Smith, all of Glade Hill; one stepson and daughter-in-law, Dick and Ruby Ingram, Vinton; 21 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; ten stepgrandchildren; eleven stepgreat-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday, April 10, 1993 at the Arrington-Bussey Chapel with Dr. Carl Savage officiating. Burial will follow in Franklin Memorial Park. Friends may call after 3 p.m. Friday and from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Arrington-Bussey Funeral Home, and other times at the home of Carol and John Moore, 114 First Street, Franklin Heights, Rocky Mount. Flowers are appreciated, however donations may be made to the Rescue Squad in Franklin County of ones choice. Arrangements by Arrington-Bussey Funeral Home, Rocky Mount.
