OBIT-MCKNIGHT, WILLIAM D.
McKNIGHT, William D., 64, an artist, of Route 3, Boones Mill, died
Wednesday evening, April 7, 1993, in Lewis-Gale Hospital. He was a retired
Norfolk and Southern engineer and served nine years in the U.S. Navy.
Surviving are his wife, Elsie Slone McKnight of the home; mother, Ruth Carter
McKnight of Houston, Texas; one daughter and son-in-law, Michele and Paul
Camillo of Herndon, Va.; one son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Charlene
McKnight of Roanoke; one sister and brother-in-law, Clara and T. L. Baker of
Richardson, Texas; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Joyce and Jean McKnight
and Aubrey and Levona McKnight, all of Houston, Texas; five grandchildren,
Paul Anthony Camillo, Andrea Camillo, Phillip Camillo, Carolee McKnight, and
Michael McKnight. Funeral services will be conducted 3 p.m. Saturday from
Lynch Chapel by the Rev. J. Larry Holland and Rev. Mark Griffith, with
interment to follow in Franklin Memorial Park. Visitation will begin Friday at
2 p.m. at Lynch Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends from 7 to
9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorials be given to the
Franklin Heights Baptist Church Building Fund, 203 Hilltop Drive, Rocky Mount,
Va. 24151.
