OBIT-ALLISON, CORINNE BRAUGHN SEXTON
ALLISON, Corinne Braughn Sexton, 82, of Wytheville, died Wednesday, April
7, 1993, at her residence. She was born in Wytheville, Va., the daughter of
the late Joseph Garland and Corinne Virginia Braughn Sexton. She was active in
the Stuart Chapter, DAR and the UDC and was a member of the Blue Ridge Women's
Golf Association and the Southwest Virginia Horsemen's Association. She was a
member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, and was preceded in death by her
husband, Thomas Barclay Allison Sr. She is survived by four daughters and
three sons-in-law, Betty and Warren Mallory, Manassas, Va., Corinne Allison,
Alexandria, Va., Judy and Bobby Walters, Frances and Frank Emerson, all of
Wytheville; one son, Thomas Barclay Allison Jr., Wytheville; six
grandchildren; one stepgrandchild; and one great-grandchild; one sister, Mrs.
Emma Alderson, Salem, Va. Funeral services will be held Friday, April 9, 1993
at 10 a.m. at Barnett Funeral Chapel with Father James Grealish and the Rev.
Dr. Thomas Sproule officiating. Interment will follow in the West End
Cemetery. There will no visitation at the funeral home. Barnett Funeral Home
in Wytheville is in charge of the arrangements.
