TECH SHOULD KEEP NEW VIRGINIANS
This letter is to encourage Virginia Tech to keep the great music group The New Virginians. They are a blessing to Virginia Tech and our community. How sad to do away with this group.During my 13 years as a Tech employee, I have enjoyed their shows at Virginia Tech and at Giles High School. They have brought miles of smiles to lots of folks, young and old alike.
This group has given Virginia Tech so much positive public relations through the years they must be allowed to continue. Don't stop a family tradition.
I would like to encourage everyone who supports this fine group to have a rally on the drillfield before they do their last show at Tech this year. This is not a protest, but a rally to show our support.
Also, to the members of this fine group, I want to speak encouragement to you. Keep looking for that miracle, because all things are possible. You're the best.\ C.W. Hall\ Pearisburg
