OBIT THURMAN, GOLDIE EVELYN
THURMAN, Goldie Evelyn, 76, of Rt. 6, Rocky Mount, died Friday, April 9, 1993, in Franklin Memorial Hospital following a brief illness. She was the widow of Carl E. Thurman, and is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Marjorie T. and Gerhard Baumann, Newton, N.C; and two sons and one daughter-in-law, Larry E. Thurman and Michael L. and Cathy Thurman, all of Rocky Mount. Also surviving are three grandchildren, Bettina L. Baumann, Crystal and Lindsey Thurman; one sister, Essie Doss, Rocky Mount; two brothers, Robert Altice of Rocky Mount, Leroy Altice of Martinsville. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Monday from Lynch Chapel with the Rev. Charles Comer officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park. Friends may call after 3 p.m. Sunday at Lynch Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 7 until 9 p.m.
