OBIT EVANS, WILLIAM L. ("BILL")

EVANS, William L. ("Bill"), 62, of 2902 Glenmont Dr. S.W., died Saturday, April 10, 1993, at his residence. Mr. Evans was a self-employed bookkeeper and accountant, was a member of Greene Memorial United Methodist Church, and was a veteran of the Korean conflict with nine years service. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Edward and Dorcas Lewis Evans. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Eleanor Sandefur Evans; a son, William H. Evans, Roanoke; a cousin, Miss Ruth Evans, West Pittston, Pa. Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Tuesday at Oakey's South Chapel with Dr. Jerry O. Campbell and Mr. Eugene H. Woods officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Burial Park. Friends may call at Oakey's South Chapel from noon Monday.
