OBIT DUNGEE, BERNARD THOMAS
DUNGEE, Bernard Thomas, 72, of Roanoke, passed away Friday, April 9, 1993
in the Salem VA Medical Center. He was a World War II veteran and a member of
Our Lady of Perpetual Help. He retired from the VA Medical Center in 1979
after 25 years of service. He was preceded in death by his wife, Blanche E.
Croson Dungee and is survived by two daughters, Ms. Carolyn Y. Dungee and Ms.
Rita G. Dungee; grandson, Yassine M. Dungee; four sisters, Mrs. Annie Mae
(Rudolph) McAfee, Mrs. Fannie (Alphonso) Allen, all of Roanoke, Ms. Dorothy
Smith, Baltimore, Md. and Mrs. Louise Jones, New York City; a host of other
relatives and friends. The family would like express their most sincere thanks
and appreciation to the doctors, nursing staff and co-workers at the Salem VA
Medical Center for care and support. Funeral services will be held Monday 11
a.m. Hamlar-Curtis Chapel with the Rev. James E. Parke officiating with burial
in Old Dominion Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour
