VIRGINIA TECH TENNIS COACH HOSPITALIZED
Virginia Tech men's tennis coach Larsen Bowker was hospitalized Sunday night after suffering a mild heart attack, Tech assistant athletic director Steve Horton said Monday.Horton said Bowker, in his seventh year as Tech's men's coach, drove himself to Montgomery Regional Hospital after experiencing chest pains. Tests will be performed today to determine if there is blockage in Bowker's arteries.
Virginia Tech is hosting the Metro Conference tennis championship this weekend.

Liberty's Tom Anthony (74-75-149) leads the field after two rounds on the par-72 course at Colonial Charters Golf and Country Club. Three golfers are one stroke back.
Liberty is fourth (626) and Radford is sixth (634) entering today's final round.

Washington and Lee's 11th-ranked men's lacrosse team battered Virginia Wesleyan 29-1 in Norfolk.
W&L improved its record to 6-1 overall and 3-0 in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference; Virginia Wesleyan is 2-6 and 0-4.
At Sweet Briar, a balanced offensive attack led the unbeaten Washington and Lee women's lacrosse team to a 14-5 victory over Sweet Briar in the ODAC.
For the Generals (8-0, 5-0), Paige Henke scored four goals, Lindsay Coleman had three and Nicole Ripken and Meredith each added two.
