OBIT ASHBY, MANOLA LEE

ASHBY, Manola Lee, 95, of Rt. 2, Wirtz, died Sunday, April 11, 1993, at her residence. She was the widow of James Roy Ashby, and was preceded in death by a daughter, Shirley A. Strickler. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Cliff (Beulah) Thompson, Mrs. Rewis (Barbara) Martin, both of Wirtz; 10 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 11 a.m. in Flora Funeral Chapel with Rev. Henry Vandergriff officiating. Interment will follow in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, Roanoke. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Flora Funeral Service, 342 S. Main St., Rocky Mount.
