OBIT MITCHELL, VIRGINIA BELLE DRAPER
MITCHELL, Virginia Belle Draper, 88, of Rt. 5, Box 275, Martinsville, Va., died Monday, April 12, 1993, at Franklin Memorial Hospital, Rocky Mount, Va. She was born on December 14, 1904 in the Reed Creek section, Henry County, Va., the daughter of the late Thomas Daniel and Susie McBride Draper. Mrs. Mitchell was a member of Trinity Baptist Church. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert L. Mitchell and two sons, Robert L. Mitchell Jr. and James David Mitchell Sr. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Herbert (Mildred) Dillon of Rocky Mount, Va.; son, Thomas Edwin "Ed" Mitchell of Snow Creek, Va.; sister, Mrs. Mallie Richardson of Martinsville, Va.; eight grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, 2 p.m. at Trinity Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Campbell and Rev. Terry Taylor officiating. The family will receive friends at Trinity Baptist Church on Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and other times at the home, St. Rd. 63. Interment will be in Snow Creek Memorial Gardens.
