NEEDS TASK FORCE PULASKI EPISCOPAL PRIEST AS PRESIDENT

The Emergency Needs Task Force of Pulaski County has elected a new president for the next year. He's the Rev. Stephen Weston, rector of Christ Episcopal Church in Pulaski since 1991. Weston has served on the task-force board for more than a year following his appointment to an unexpired term.

Other officers: Jeannette Sheffey, vice-president; Terri Gregory, secretary; and Janet Johnson, treasurer.

Weston also was elected to a three-year term on the board, while Carol Brockmeyer, Barry Long, and Carolyn Puckett were re-elected to three-year board terms.

The Emergency Needs Task Force aids Pulaski Countians facing emergency situations such as eviction or utility cutoff. The task force also helps individuals pay for prescription medicines if they are unable to do so.

The task force serves as a screening agency for other emergency assistance groups, and as a referral agency for people who need longer term help.
