LACROSSE-VIRGINIA TROUNCES VMI 23-7
Kevin Pehlke scored Virginia's first goal at 1:52 into the first period as the Cavaliers routed visiting VMI 23-7 in a men's game at Klockner Stadium in Charlottesville.Six players, including Pehlke, scored two goals each for Virginia (7-2).
Senior Dan Delawyer scored three goals and one assist for VMI (5-5). Mike Peters scored two goals and Dan Delawyer had three assists.
At Fredericksburg, Washington and Lee got two goals each from Nicole Ripken and Angie Carrington on the way to defeating host Mary Washington 7-5 in women's lacrosse.
The Generals, ranked seventh in Division III, are 9-0.
