VMI STARTS SEPT. 4 AT RICHMOND
VMI's 1993 college football schedule includes its first-ever game against NCAA Division I-AA power Georgia Southern and a game against Army.The Keydets will open its football season Sept. 4 with a 1 p.m. game at Richmond. The team opens its four-game home and eight-game Southern Conference schedules with its next game, Sept. 18, homecoming, against East Tennessee State at Alumni Field. VMI plays at Army in West Point, N.Y., on Sept. 25.
The Georgia Southern game is Oct. 23 at Lexington at 1:30 p.m. The golden Eagles, in their first season in the conference, won national championsips in 1985, 1986, 1989 and 1990, and they reached the final in 1988. 1993 VMI FOOTBALL SCHEDULE September
