APPALACHIAN STORIES AND MUSIC THURSDAY
Appalachian storyteller and musician Jim Costa will perform Thursday at 7:30 p.m. at the Baptist Student Center, 307 Washington St. S.W. Costa's appearance is part of April in Appalachia at Virginia Tech.Costa, a Hinton, W.Va., native, plays mountain music on the dulcimer, fiddle, banjo, guitar, autoharp and harmonica. He also tells mountain tales.
His performance is sponsored by the Appalachian Studies Program at Virginia Tech and by the Appalachian Way, a Tech organization.
