OBIT LESTER, CORA LEE DUNCAN
LESTER, Cora Lee Duncan, 85, of Christiansburg, passed away Tuesday, April 13, 1993 at Radford Community Hospital. She attended The Church of The Lord Jesus Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Davis Lester. Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Davis Jr. and Betty Jo Lester of Belspring, Cecil and Marie Lester and James K. and Peggy Lester, all of Riner; four daughters and sons-in-law, Mrs. Goldie Alexander, Rosa Lee and Thomas Bishop, and Betty Jean and Bobby Bishop, all of Christiansburg, and Judy and James Thurman of Roanoke; six brothers, Hurbert, Burman, Lincoln, Troy Hobert and William Duncan, all of Radford; four sisters, Mrs. Carrie Bain, Mrs. Clydie Morris, and Mrs. Bertha Moore, all of Radford, Mrs. Helen Dickerson of Pulaski; 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Seaver-Sanders & Mullins Funeral Home in Radford with Rev. Raymond Proffitt and Rev. Leroy Peters officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Christiansburg. The family would like to thank Radford Community Hospital doctors, nurses, and all the staff that so wonderfully took care of our Mother during her illness. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Seaver-Sanders & Mullins Funeral Home in Radford.
