OBIT STOVALL, JAMES FRANKLIN
STOVALL, James Franklin, 77, of Rural Retreat, and formerly of Patrick Springs, died April 13, 1993, in the Twin Co. Community Hospital in Galax. He is survived by his wife, Amanda Stovall, Rural Retreat; one daughter, Stephanie Spears, Charlotte, N.C.; two stepdaughters, Carol Amstutz, Galax, Betty Graham, Huntington, W.Va.; one sister, Alberta Shelton, Ferrum; three brothers, Cornelius Stovall, Ralph Stovall, both of Patrick Springs, Glen Stovall, Stuart; three grandchildren; eight stepgrandchildren; three stepgreat-grandchildren also survive. Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the Liberty Baptist Church in Patrick Springs with interment to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Gillman Funeral Chapel, Wytheville. Also there will be a visitation at the church one hour before service time. Gillman Funeral Chapel, Wytheville, is in charge of the arrangements.
