OBIT-BISHOP, JOSEPH OBIE

BISHOP, Joseph Obie, 89, of Roanoke, died Wednesday, April 14, 1993. He was preceded in death by his wife, Beulah F. Bishop; two daughters, Margie B. Jarels and Millie B. Jarels; and a son, Joseph O. Bishop. Surviving are his daughters and sons-in-law, Elsie B. and Ike Jarels, Virginia B. and Walter Henry, Ola B. and Dale Metz, a special son-in-law, Eugene Jarels, all of Roanoke; 12 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren. Services will be from Oakey's South Chapel 11 a.m. Saturday, April 17, 1993. The Rev. Robert Alderman and the Rev. Maurice Wright will officiate. Interment will follow in the White Oak Grove Cemetery, Floyd County. Friends may call at Oakey's South Chapel.
