OBIT-STANLEY, CHARLES EDWARD

STANLEY, Charles Edward, 64, of Salem, died Thursday, April 15, 1993. He is survived by his wife, Glenna A. Stanley; daughters and son-in-law, Rebecca Jane Schrader, Roberta Ann and Andy Taliaferro; two stepsons, Buford W. Hanson, North Carolina, James E. Hanson and his wife, Lily, Salem; two stepdaughters, Ruth E. VanFossen, North Carolina, and Mary L. Heath, Tennessee; brothers, Frank Stanley and John Stanley, both of West Virginia; a sister, Louise Simms, West Virginia; grandsons, Lee Schrader and Mike Farris; numerous stepgrandchildren, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the John M. Oakey and Son Funeral Home Chapel, Salem. Graveside service and burial will be in Alderson, West Virginia at 3 p.m. Saturday. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to Good Samaritan Hospice, 4325 Colonial Ave., S.W., Roanoke, Va.
