DON'T LINK GALLIMORE TO BRANHAM MINISTRY

IN RESPONSE to staff writer Lon Wagner's coverage of the Gallimore case:

It is truly an understatement to say that Gallimore's conduct is reprehensible and immoral. However, a greater tragedy exists in the fact that he identifies himself with the Christian church and the ministry of the late William Branham (1909-1965).

It is widely known among those who have any association with Rev. Branham's ministry that he neither condoned nor advocated the practice of polygamy. His ministry was characterized by the highest of moral standards and the denunciation of immorality in any form. He deeply respected marriage and the integrity of the traditional role of a husband and wife.

To assume that the product of Branham's ministry could be the kind of attitude and lifestyle manifested by Gallimore is truly an aberration. Also, to assume that anyone who is associated with the ministry of Branham is in compliance with Gallimore is as erroneous as to suggest that all Seventh-day Adventist church members will eventually manifest the irrational behavior of David Koresh. Or, that all pro-life advocates are murderers.

Please, allow Gallimore to be investigated and sensationalized if you so choose, but refrain from making even the remotest association between Gallimore and the cause of Christ for which Branham stood. REV. BARRY COFFEY LOGAN, OHIO
