MILLER WINS WORLD ALL-AROUND TITLE

American Shannon Miller knows just where the World Gymnastics Championships stand in the overall picture.

"It's not as big as the Olympics but I'm glad I did well," the 16-year-old from Edmond, Okla., said after capturing the all-round title in Birmingham, England.

Miller totaled 39.062 points, edging Romanian Gina Gogean (39.055). Olympic gold beam medalist Tatiana Lyssenko edged American Dominique Dawes for the bronze medal.
